Merchant FAQ
How do I join as a merchant?
Sign up yourself at merchant.chopawoof.com. Create an account with your phone number and a password, add your business details and pickup location, then upload a photo of your storefront and your CAC certificate. Our team reviews your application, and you can start listing once you are approved.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Signing up is free, and there is no subscription and no listing fee. Chop Awoof takes a 20% commission on each order's item subtotal, unless a different rate was agreed for your business, and you keep the rest. If you sell nothing, you pay nothing.
What can I sell, and do I have to offer a Mystery Bag?
A Mystery Bag is a fixed-price bag of your surplus meals or near-expiry groceries. You choose the category, set a minimum guaranteed value, and disclose possible contents, exclusions and allergens. You can also list Specific Offers instead, which are exact items at a discount. Many merchants do both.
Do I have to deliver orders?
No. Chop Awoof is pickup only. Customers pay online, then collect from your shop during the pickup window you set. They show you a 6-digit pickup code, and you enter it to confirm the collection.
Do I have to create a new offer every day?
No. For prepared food, you can set up a recurring Mystery Bag once and we create a draft on each day you schedule. Confirm the quantity and publish it, or skip that day.
When do I get paid?
Payouts run once a day. An order's earnings become payable once it is collected (or marked as a no-show), and are sent in the next daily payout to your verified bank account.
